Mark Loader is a Manhattan based photographer who has spent a fifteen year career looking for new ways to create and capture still life imagery. After being told by a top art buyer early in his career, that if he can shoot liquor then she knows that he can shoot anything, creating compelling images of wine and liquor has become a passion for Mark. "Leave me alone in a white room with a bottle of booze and I'm happy" he sometimes says, half smiling. This has proved a successful strategy for the self-taught photographer, who has worked on everything from obscure wine collections to top shelf liquor brands. Currently, it is through innovative digital techniques that Mark continues to push the scope of still life photography, as he explains "Digital has made easy what used to be difficult when shooting film. Now we, as professional product photographers, have to make things difficult again in order to push the limits of the technology." In so doing, he is creating images that continue to hold the public's attention and keep his clients happy.
